Research & development

Development, and the laboratory that proves it.

A vertically integrated framework: formulation and development for new products and scale-up, an analytical development laboratory to characterise them, and a quality control laboratory that releases what the line makes. The three are in one building, which is why a problem found in testing goes back to the person who formulated it rather than into an email thread.

Innovation at its core

Three areas, deliberately.

The team of scientists, researchers and healthcare professionals works across a small number of therapeutic areas rather than claiming all of them — and formulation and development is equipped for the sophistication that new product development and scale-up both need.

  1. 01

    Cardiac

The largest published range: antihypertensives, statins, beta blockers, anticoagulants and antiplatelets, including fixed-dose combinations and modified-release systems.

  2. 02

    Diabetic

Gliptins, gliflozins and metformin, singly and in combination — the group where prolonged-release behaviour and bi-layer construction do most of the formulation work.

  3. 03

    Analgesic

Aceclofenac, diclofenac and paracetamol combinations across immediate, gastro-resistant and sustained-release presentations.

Formulation & Development policy

Backed by ADL

Instruments, named.

The analytical development laboratory is equipped for reference material, data collection and analysis, and record archiving. Quality control and microbiology sit beside it. Stability-indicating assay and related substances are monitored with testing and data trending rather than a single release result.

Development

Bring a target profile, not a finished formula.

The useful conversations start earlier than most people expect: a molecule, a release behaviour, a market to file in and a cost the product has to land under. That is enough to say whether it can be developed here.
