What the company is

Vertically integrated, and deliberately narrow.

Infocus Remedies is a WHO-GMP and ISO certified manufacturing facility for solid oral therapeutics in Gujarat, India. It has been built as a vertically integrated, R&D-focused pharmaceutical company with an in-house formulation and development function and its own laboratory, for developing, manufacturing and marketing finished dosage formulations.

The company offers customised contract manufacturing with comprehensive analytical support, and holds a portfolio of specialty and primary care medicines addressing the world’s most common acute and chronic diseases. Alongside the general range, the innovative work concentrates on three therapy areas: central nervous system, cardiovascular, and metabolic disorders.

More than two hundred products are under development and registration for ROW, ASEAN and domestic markets. The plant is equipped with automatic, state-of-the-art infrastructure to manufacture up to one billion general tablets, 320 million effervescent tablets and 220 million capsule dosages a year — and the work of the last several years has been to show that complex drug development can be economically feasible while still meeting quality, efficacy and safety criteria.

Where it sits

The manufacturing arm of the Saifen Group.

Saifen Group is a Hong Kong holding company with pharmaceutical distribution across Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines, Portugal and India. Infocus is where the group manufactures.

For a partner that matters in one practical way: a product developed here has a route to the group’s own markets as well as to the partner’s, and the plant is not dependent on any single customer for the volume that keeps it qualified.

Where it is going

Three dated commitments.

The plant runs to WHO-GMP today. These are the standards and the structure it is being taken to, with the years the company has set against them.

  1. 2028

    Naroda upgraded to EU-GMP

Taking the existing solid oral facility from WHO-GMP to EU-GMP, which is what opens regulated European filings to the products already developed here.

  2. 2028

    US FDA approved hormonal facility

A separate green-field unit for hormonal oral solid dosage forms and injectables, built to US FDA standard — a different building, because hormonal products cannot share air handling with a general oral line.

  3. 2032

    Infocus Remedies IPO

A public listing, and the point at which the company’s numbers become a matter of public record rather than a private assurance.

These are the company’s stated intentions and target years, not certifications it currently holds. What it holds today is WHO-GMP and ISO certification, and the two Gujarat FDCA manufacturing licences quoted throughout this site.

Ask the awkward question first.

Capacity, certification, lead time, minimum batch, what happens when a batch fails. A manufacturer worth using answers those before it talks about anything else.
