Cookie policy

This site is close to cookie-free by design. One cookie is essential and is set whatever you choose; everything else waits for you to say yes, and none of it is set if you say no.

The essential one

When you accept or reject in the consent banner, that choice is stored in your browser so the banner does not reappear on every page. It records nothing but your answer, and it cannot be switched off — without it, the only alternative is to ask you again on every page.

Analytics

If you accept analytics, we may use them to understand which pages are read and roughly where visitors arrive from. It is used to decide what to write more of, not to identify anyone.

Nothing analytical loads until you have accepted. Reject, and no analytics script is fetched at all — it is not loaded-then-anonymised, it is not loaded.

Marketing

Off by default. If we ever run a campaign that needs to measure its own reach, a marketing cookie would be set only for visitors who have accepted that category.

Third parties

There are no third-party embeds on this site. No map iframe, no video player, no social widget, no font loaded from someone else’s CDN — the typefaces are served from this domain.

This matters more than it sounds: an embed placed on a page loads whether or not you consented to it, which is the most common way a site that promises this ends up not doing it.

Changing your mind

Clear this site’s data in your browser and the banner will appear again on your next visit, letting you choose differently.
